Girls Program

  • Female LRA students live in a home a few miles off campus on five acres of beautiful property.
  • The large, comfortable home houses a maximum of twelve girls.
  • Girls are involved in a variety of activities focusing on individual interests and life skills such as: culinary arts, handicrafts, animal care (including horses), community service, and much, much more.
  • Individual treatment plans address each girl’s unique and specific needs. Common issues addressed are: bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, dysthymia, substance abuse, and more.
  • Our Adventure Learning Program offers a variety of recreational and experiential therapy opportunities such as: skiing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, canoeing, river running, mountain biking, and other fun activities.
  • A staff Fitness Instructor works with the girls to enhance a positive body image, healthy nutritional choices, and an active lifestyle.
  • Structured co-ed opportunities in school and activities (as clinically indicated) provide real world experiences and social interaction with boys.

We believe that providing a gender specific treatment opportunity in addition to having highly supervised access to social interaction with boys allows our girls the best opportunity to succeed in the real world.
